Best Bet: Mobile Fashion

If you’re like us, your new 3GS iPhone already has some serious sand scratches on its once-pristine surface. But you can deflect attention from those not quite beauty marks with these skins by Infectious. Choose from “Roller Girl” by photographer Dana Hawley, “Akitsu Shim” by Mike Klay of Powerslide Designs, “All the Fun of the Fairground” by photographer Abi Massey, and more. And best of all, you can order them from the web or straight from your phone.

$9.99 at UrbanOutfitters.com, or available at the mobile site.

Best Bet: Comey On

High-low collaborations are beyond all the rage, but waiting in long lines for limited editions went out of style long ago. Luckily, one under-the-radar pairing also happens to be our favorite — shoes from Contributor, Rachel Comey’s aptly named collection for Urban Outfitters. These t-strap sandals have Comey’s signature all over them — simple details (a riveted strap with post closures), buttery leather with a slightly rough edge, and most comfortable rubber soles. Finally a collab that we can get behind, and that we can find.

Best Bet: Sweetie Thigh

You still like the look of leggings, but the thought of actually wearing them makes you shudder from head to toe. Enter the DVF Sweetheart Pant, which looks like a legging but fits and feels like a pant. These stretchy slacks have a lot to give (which means you’ll also want to go down a size), and the seams that run down the sides and around the back actually make them flattering, not flaw-inducing. They’re light enough to wear during this cool summer weather, but warm enough to layer when fall comes back to town. Pants that look, fit, and last? That’s what we call sweet.

Best Bets: Tote-ally

There are few things that scream summer more than a straw tote. Well, that and, of course, torrential rains. But don’t let the downpours dictate your fashion decisions; make a point of adding this Raffia Tote Bag from Calypso to your collection. This one offers a few upgrades to the classic carryall: For starters it has a snap closure to keep your gear from tumbling out, and for finishers it has either white or natural-leather handles to give it a life beyond the beach. So at least when sunny days arrive, you’ll be armed and ready.

Best Bet: Tank You

In this time of uncertainty (you never know when you might get another Alex Wang tee again), it’s comforting to know there are some things that never go out of style, or stock. Like a perfect white tank top, one that you can layer or wear on its own — which, given many designers’ propensity for sheerness, isn’t as easy as it sounds. But J.Crew got the message when they created the very aptly named perfect-fit tank. Supersoft cotton, ultrafine rib, it is just the answer for those high-waisted shorts, those spaghetti-strap dresses, and just about every other wardrobe conundrum you can think of. And if you tire of white, it comes, of course, in a zillion perfect colors.

Best Bets: Just Bead It

The proliferation of the gladiator sandal has led to almost total street domination. But on the flip side, it’s also created a variety of styles to choose from. Since you plan on adding to your inventory, consider the candy-colored and beaded Squaw Spartiates sandal from Antik Batik. This French boho brand has been subtly infiltrating our shores for a while now, and has brought with it that perfect Parisian style you’ve spent years trying to master. So while that wait is over, gladiator sandals are not.
