Carmen Marc Valvo is considering a presentation for fall 2009 Fashion Week in New York to save money. The CFDA is encouraging designers to do presentations instead of shows in February since they're cheaper and easier for busy retailers and editors to view. (A presentation consists of five to ten minutes of looking; a show consists of that plus 50 fun-filled minutes of waiting.) Further incentive for a presentation? At Valvo's last show, one-fourth of the seats were empty. [Telegraph]
