Jimmy Choo’s Sandra Choi Hosts Lunch at Saks Fifth Avenue with Baby2Baby

Jimmy Choo creative director Sandra Choi made the most of her three days in Los Angeles, as the guest of honor at a lunch hosted by Baby2Baby co-presidents Kelly Sawyer Patricof and Norah Weinstein at Saks Fifth Avenue Beverly Hills on Thursday, two days after playing hostess at The Hollywood Reporter’s Most Powerful Stylists Dinner. Thursday’s event was part of Choo’s yearlong 20th anniversary celebration, for which Choi designed the “Memento” capsule collection of 20 shoes and bags to pay homage to Choo’s Hollywood legacy with classic styles updated to suit the more current whims of fashion. “I always say a great shoe is a great shoe, no matter how old it is,” said Choi, who also designed a massive limited-edition trunk large enough to carry 20 pairs. Only a handful reside in Choo flagships around the world, including Rodeo Drive, which lent its trunk for Saks’ post-lunch shopping event that also featured a DJ and photo booth. “I feel like the trunk is following me around the world,” said Choi, who was tight-lipped about what other kinds of celebrations were in store for the rest of the year. “I want to celebrate art forms in different ways,” she said, which was perhaps
